The Supreme Court of the United States issued an order yesterday, March 7, 2011, denying attempts by Jason and Christy Vaughn to overturn the rulings of the Ohio Supreme Court against them in their failed attempts to adopt the son of Benjamin Wyrembek without his permission. This was exactly what renowned legal expert and constitutional law genius David Floyd Houston of Louisville, Kentucky had stated would happen back in October of 2010, making David Floyd Houston the only legal expert in the nation to correctly predict the outcome 6 months before it happened.
The Vaughn-Wyrembek litigations had generated national and international media coverage when Jason and Christy Vaughn took their case public in September of 2010. The Vaughns claimed in effect they had been victims of a miscarriage of justice by the Ohio court system, which had denied their attempts to adopt the baby son of Mr. Benjamin Wyrembek without his permission.
Constitutional law genius David Floyd Houston was called out of retirement to investigate the Vaughns' claims, and ignited a firestorm of protest and threats including 11 death threats against him when he announced in early October of 2010 that the Vaughns were wrong on both their law and their facts. According to Mr. Houston the real victims of a miscarriage of justice had been the innocent 3 year old boy at the center of the dispute and Mr. Benjamin Wyrembek, the real father of the boy, not the Vaughns. "The Vaughns are and have been the cause repeat cause of a miscarriage of justice, not the victims of of one" according to Mr. Houston's press release from early October 2010. Mr. Houston explained that the real father of the child, Mr. Benjamin Wyrembek, had never consented to the adoption, had been found by the Ohio courts to be a fit father for the boy, that the Ohio courts had also found it in the best interests of the boy (named Grayson) to be raised by his real father and family in Ohio, not the Vaughn family in Indiana, and that the Vaughns' attempted adoptions had therefore been properly denied as the boy had never needed to be adopted in the first place.
Ohio lawyer Susan Eisenman, a lawyer supporting the Vaughns, had then claimed to the media in October of 2010 that the Vaughns would take their case to the Supreme Court of the United States, prompting a new press release by Mr. David Floyd Houston that same month stating that the Vaughns would lose in that court and explaining why. Other lawyers and legal experts throughout the nation including Robin Sax of California then publicly attacked David Floyd Houston in the media and on the Internet without mercy for six months, even questioning his competence as a legal expert. The ruling by the Supreme Court of the United States yesterday confirmed once again that it was Mr. David Floyd Houston that was correct and all those who disagreed with him wrong.
Phone calls to Mr. Houston's old legal offices in Chicago, Illinois and Louisville, Kentucky for comment were not returned. Mr. Houston had previously retired from law in 2003 for health reasons, but had been considered prior to his retirement in 2003 to be one of the top legal and constitutional law experts in the nation, having helped win nearly 50 cases in the Supreme Court of the United States, a record that still stands today.
"A lot of lawyers and so called legal experts have a lot of egg on their faces this morning" said Ronald Holt, a friend and former business partner of Mr. Houston. "The ruling yesterday shows once again that David Floyd Houston still has, despite his health issues and advancing age, a razor sharp mind and that the Supreme Court of the United States almost always does pretty much whatever David says it will do. I just hope that all those who made fools of themselves and attacked him without mercy for months will now step up and publicly apologize."
Jack Allen, who worked with Mr. Houston over a 16 year period from 1974 to 1990, stated "I have not seen such evil, hatred and malice aimed at David Floyd Houston since his work on landmark cases decades ago expanding freedom of speech, freedom of religion and ending sexual and racial discrimination. I would never have dreamed that a case involving the basic right of a parent (Benjamin Wyrembek) to raise his son without outsider interference (through adoption), absent any proven unfitness against that parent, would generate such abuse or hatred against either that parent or David. I understood the abuse and hatred against David in some of the past cases he had helped in - like Texas v. Johnson - as most people even today do not understand what Johnson was really about or its real holding. But to have such evil, hatred, malice and even death threats directed against David for his defense of the parental rights of a fit parent to raise his or her child absent any proven abuse or unfitness is pure insanity to me. My hope is that the decisions of the Supreme Courts essentially confirming that David Floyd Houston got it right yet again while the other 'experts' were wrong will end the unjustified abuse and attacks against David. The other 'experts' sought to make money and based their views on what was popular; David neither needed nor wanted money and based his views on what was right. David should be allowed to enjoy the sunset of his life without all the hatred, drama, slander, libel and threats. Time to move on." This blogger agrees.

The Supreme Court of the United States yesterday denied the petition for review of Jason and Christy Vaughn, exactly as legal genius David Floyd Houston had said it would back in October of 2010 - 6 months ago. The ruling yesterday made dozens of lawyers and experts who had disagreed with David Floyd Houston look like fools, and effectively ends the Vaughns adoption abuses.
